The next thing I looked at when writing the review was what was the purpose of the website. I thought about what the website was trying to accomplish, and if the theme and purpose was constant. These factors also helped me rate the website.
The final thing that I used to help rate the website over all was the website’s features. For example, a tabs bar, a menu button, a search bar, or anything else that made the website easier to navigate. These advances on a website enhance the site and in return allow the website a higher rating.
Rating the websites one through five, only a couple websites got the full rating of five. These websites showed a good appealing design, a definite purpose, and also had a lot of features that made the website easier to use. The websites that didn’t have as strong reviews had different elements missing respectively.
Looking through all these websites and really taking notice of them helped me in many ways. It showed me the difference the way a website is supposed to look and how all the elements should work together. It also showed me what not to do on a website, and how certain things should, or shouldn’t, be laid out. Also, going through many different kinds of websites allowed me to see the different purposes and what aspects work best with each different purpose. That way, one day, I can create a website that is appealing, purposeful, and also has many useful features.
